I will be welcoming people to my new studio Room 113 in the Percy Williams Building at Krowji next weekend 4th – 6th December. I will be showing original oil paintings, etchings and drawings. I hope to see some of you there for a mince pie or two!

Krowji, a creative arts space based in Redruth will be opening its doors this Christmas for its annual Open Studios, welcoming the public to come and explore the home of painters, ceramicists, jewellery makers, designers, textile artists, animators, costumers and more. A perfect opportunity for Christmas present shopping; this event sees hundreds of visitors every year and is a really popular celebration of Cornish arts and culture. There are also a number of workshops being run both for children and adults.

WORKSHOPS & DEMONSTRATIONS

Friday Evening
The Ingleheart Singers will start the celebrations at 5pm on Friday with complimentary mince pies and mulled wine served in the Melting Pot Café which will be open throughout the weekend. Engine House VFX will be holding virtual reality demos where adults and children can create their own Google Cardboard and enter a new immersive world.

Saturday & Sunday
There are a number of workshops being run both for children and adults. Why not try your hand at bookbinding with Bookshell Bindery at 11am and 2.30pm please book for this event, or keep the kids busy with an ‘elf’ trail and children’s lantern workshop between 11am and 3pm, running through Saturday and Sunday.

Funk Soul Mother will also be running a tote bag print workshop on Saturday morning, from 10am – 12.30pm, booking essential. On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December Jo Buckley Photography will be holding family mini sessions in her studio in our new Percy Williams building. Perfect timing for Christmas presents!

During the weekend visitors will have the chance to see Yskynna Aerial Arts company demonstrating their impressive vertical dance work in Krowji’s newly landscaped courtyard.
