EACH – A Two Person Exhibition at The Poly in Falmouth June 6th – 10th

This Exhibition at The Poly in Falmouth will bring together recent works by Hideki Arichi and myself. We are both interested in exploring subjective ways of seeing and have exhibited together before, sharing each others aesthetic sensibility and working methods. Our working practice brings a trust in intuition as well as a curiosity to explore our surroundings and how we see ourselves in those surroundings.

I wanted to make paintings that were about celebrating the beauty in the world and giving attention to its colour, rhythm and surprises. My recent works have been inspired by the flora and fauna of Cornwall and are becoming more experimental.

Hideki Arichi is a British born Japanese artist working with painting, drawing, printmaking and recently ceramics. Taking his cues from both natural and urban environments as well as Western Art History and Japanese aesthetics, he studies both high and low culture when considering his approach to his work.

The show runs next week Tuesday 6th June – Saturday 10th June at The Poly in Falmouth.  You are warmly invited to our Private view Tuesday 6th June 6pm – 8pm. We hope to see you there.

Opening times are Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 6pm.
