I am hugely excited to share recent works with you at my local gallery in Penryn this Autumn. ‘The Joy of Small Things’ will open tomorrow 30 September at The Terrace Gallery in Penryn and you are warmly invited to the Private View 6pm – 8pm hosted by gallery owners Sam and Dave Pentin.
During this last year and through the various lockdowns of the pandemic, I have been gathering material on my daily walks around Penryn and along the coastal paths of the Fal and Helford estuaries as well as observations made at home, making notes ready to explore back at my studio.
In this exhibition ‘The Joy of Small Things’ I want to celebrate the little things that bring me pleasure everyday: be they the colours of the turning leaves in Autumn or the sunlight streaming through my kitchen window in the late afternoon. This exhibition is a personal celebration of all the small things that I found beautiful or that caught my attention and which pulled me through this difficult time.
