reeds sketch

I’ve been doing some rapid sketches of water reeds and rushes along the estuary at Falmouth, Cornwall. I love using different media to build up layers of colour and texture. I’m really enjoying the vertical/horizontal lines of these landscapes and working them into a more abstract composition. It’s the start of some new work i think.
